Ian Allison is an accomplished and versatile electric and upright bass player, working in Minneapolis, MN.

Most recently he has spent the last four years touring nationally as part of Eric Hutchinson and The Believers, sharing stages with acts like Kelly Clarkson, Pentatonix, Rachel Platten, Matt Nathanson, and Phillip Phillips, and playing venues such as Radio City Music Hall, The Staples Center and The Xcel Center in St. Paul, MN.

Born and raised in Kalispell, Montana, Ian is known for a relaxed, friendly vibe combined with a hyper-prepared nature and strong work ethic. Ian has an intense, never-ending love of vintage basses and gear. In the studio and on stage, he specializes in tone, effects, and technique to create a unique bass sound that perfectly blends into whatever genre he’s exploring. Ian is a busy session player around the Twin Cities, working with artists such as Eric Hutchinson, Gavin Degraw, Jeremy Messersmith, Soul Asylum, Max Collins (Eve 6), Breanne Duren (Owl City), and Verskotzi. 

Ian has performed on “The Late Show with David Letterman” and “The Today Show” on NBC. He is also a songwriter and producer and his music has appeared on ABC, NBC, ESPN, and MTV.
