I have heard that Minneapolis has a very vibrant music scene, so it stands to reason that many of the bass players I talk to hail from that fair city. Kathie Hixon-Smith, AKA Pony, has been an integral part of the Indie Rock scene in Minnesota for years. She has performed with a number of musicians but currently focuses on her duet with her husband Ryan as “Ryan and Pony” and the band “The Melismatics”.
