BASS LINES: 5 Ways to Create a Bass Line – Part II

Hello bass players and fans of bass playing!

This month we are going to continue with the second part on how to create a bass line (View part I here).

Last time we focused on how to build a groove using only the root of the chord. Now we will look at five examples that use octaves to create a groove. Each example is based on the same chord progression: C – Am – F – G.

That’s all folks! The second way to create a bass line is to groove with the octaves. This concept, like the following ones, can be applied to all musical genres.
