Thomas shares, “In making these albums I only used my double bass and my electric-basses with the exception of four pieces with a little voice or drums… I like to say that they are 97% bass!”

Due to the current situation with the pandemic, the lack of opportunity to meet face-to-face with other musicians has made it almost impossible to create music together. However, seeing this as an opportunity to realize a creative vision formed over a long period of time, the German bass player, Thomas Stahr, decided to create an album of music consisting mainly of his double bass and his bass guitars. This vision became reality with the release of his first solo album, ‘Bass Colours’.

After completing the album, and with the world still firmly in the grip of the pandemic, he grasped the opportunity once again to bring to life yet another musical concept he had envisioned before. Further highlighting the many facets of the same two instruments, Thomas has brought this concept to life in an album of Christmas music inspired by his own personal preferences and festive favorites.
