Interview With Bassist Yuka Tadano…

As you might imagine, I get a lot of e-mails about what kind of music bands are playing across the world. As I was going through a stack of these, I came across one with a new song from Tony and the Kiki. I was totally blown away by the music (killer vocals!) and I immediately wanted to talk to the bassist Yuka Tadano.

Originally from Japan, Yuka comes from a musical family. She started out on violin and didn’t get around to bass until after high school. Once she was hooked on this instrument, her musical education trajectory took her to North Texas where she got her B.M. and M.M. in Jazz Studies. Now in New York City, Yuka has an extremely diversified musical portfolio including Glam Rock, Jazz, Pop, Broadway Musicals, and everything in between.
