Introducing String Theory Project… 16 multi-talented musicians and 11 tracks of genre-blending instrumental music that was created remotely during the pandemic.

2020… The Year the Music Stopped or Did it?

The pandemic lockdown meant musicians were held hostage in their own homes; No playing out, no creating music in the same room with other musicians. Enter, Anthony Cook, Producer and Bassist, and long-time music friend and songwriter, Bruce Rubin. Their vision… A complete world musical journey.

They worked with musicians from every genre imaginable; Jazz, Rock, Blues, Americana Roots, American Primitive, World, Folk, Gypsy, and beyond. Adding each music piece to the perfect music puzzle… SPECIAL MOJO for MUSIC GUMBO. A rainbow of instrumental colors… A soundtrack of life, but how???

Producer, Anthony Cook invited several musicians that were stranded in the lockdown but were eager to participate in String Theory Project. In the end, 16 multi-talented musicians accepted the invite, and under the encouragement of Anthony Cook added the magic to 11 instrumental tracks, written by, Bruce Rubin. In the end, a project that started with two musicians 20 years ago, was now at the forefront and being shared worldwide.

“Necessity is the mother of invention” is a well-known proverb. It means, roughly, that the primary driving force for most new inventions is a need. The need was the passion and connection of music. Once again, music reminds us that we all can be connected in some way. Music is a universal language, and String Theory Project hopes their music will make a special connection to listeners.
