This bass guitar lesson is for intermediate players

In this second part of the introduction to bass chords, we will add chords played on 3 consecutive strings, in this case, the A, D, and G strings. We will use a standard voicing with the Root, 3rd and 7th played in that order in the graph below. It is listed as the lower section of the neck but for this exercise, we will think of it as being the second octave, that way we can have each of these chords sound clear.

The first example is a minor followed by a Dominant 7, then finally a major chord.
