Robert Trusko, the acclaimed Dallas-based bassist, musician and composer, has unveiled his latest musical endeavor, the mesmerizing EP titled “First Light.” Comprising three captivating tracks, this EP signifies a new chapter in Trusko’s musical journey and offers listeners a soul-stirring experience like no other.

“First Light” is the manifestation of Trusko’s unwavering dedication to his craft, bringing to life a treasure trove of previously unreleased music that has been waiting in the wings. As he aptly puts it, “This is the start of a new journey in my life. Releasing music. As many musicians experience, I have hard drive upon hard drive of unfinished and unreleased music. ‘First Light’ is the catalyst to bring this music into the world.”

The EP features three distinct tracks, each showcasing Trusko’s remarkable talent and versatility:

1. ”First Light”: A jazz fusion masterpiece that features a quartet delivering a riveting performance filled with union riffs and high energy. The track was recorded by Joel Raif and Patrick Craine at Furndware Studios and was written, produced, mixed, and mastered by Robert Trusko. It includes the following musicians:

2. ”Repercussions”: A melancholic groove-based instrumental that highlights Trusko’s drumming skills, with a loop of Trusko himself on the drums. The track was entirely written, performed, recorded, produced, mixed, and mastered by Robert Trusko.

3. ”Elevation”: This composition is reminiscent of a musical conversation between legendary bassist Jaco Pastorius and the innovative Flying Lotus. Like “Repercussions,” “Elevation” was also written, performed, recorded, produced, mixed, and mastered by Robert Trusko.
