Review: Zero-Gravity Strap for Bass

Published

on

I recently played an outdoor show and decided to try a new guitar strap from CFG (Cable Free Guitar) which caught my eye.

Now, I’ve got around 30 custom-made straps in all sorts of colors, fabrics, and leather, but this one blew me away with its comfort.

The Zero-Gravity Strap features an Airflow system and a broad 3.5-inch width, which CFG claims cuts “instrument weight perception” by 50%. I’m no expert on weight perception, but after my gig, I can say this: my bass felt practically weightless!

What sets this strap apart is its ultra-soft shoulder pad, crafted from moisture-wicking neoprene and memory foam.

Bottom line: this is an incredible strap, and I can’t recommend it enough. I only wish I had one 20 years ago when I was tearing up the stage.

A couple of final thoughts:

1. Anyone interested in some lightly used custom-made straps?

2. Hey CFG, how about making one in Neon Pink to match my DR Pink Neon strings
