BASS LINES: Improve Your Practice Routine – Part I

Published

on

Hello bass players and fans of bass playing! This month, I’m going to start helping you improve your practice routine!

Organization, perseverance, and discipline are the keys to short and long-term success!

I’d love to help with that! Whether you’re focusing on technique, groove, improvisation, reading, or specific genres, we can structure a routine that balances all the key elements.

To tailor the right routine for you, you need to answer these questions:

1. Your current level (beginner, intermediate, advanced)?

2. Your goals (e.g., playing in a band, improving slap technique, reading charts, etc.)?

3. How much time you have each day/week to practice?

4. Styles or genres you focus on?

5. Any weaknesses or frustrations you’ve been running into?

Once you know that, you can build a routine that’s targeted, efficient, and motivating…

See you next month for more about this interesting topic.
