Speaking of gifts, I want to thank all of you that submit your creative works to us for potential review; even though we get a massive amount of CD’s from all over the world, we do listen to each and every one. Our process is to select those that “speak” to us and write our reviews accordingly. If you have sent us a CD and have not seen a review, it is possible that we may not have chosen your recording to share with our readers, but it may also be that we haven’t had a chance to listen to it yet. Either way, keep an eye out for our  selected reviews as we are  constantly working on this task. One request, please send your contact information  (e-mail)  with your submissions. This way we will always contact you directly if we pick your CD.

Evolution is an important part of survival and growth, and Bass Musician Magazine is no exception… we have added a feature where you can shop for all your bass gear needs right on the pages of BMM! We were traveling this summer and noted that there are many parts of the country where finding bass stuff is almost impossible. We thought that facilitating access to bass equipment might be a good thing for our readers. Check it out!

Those of you that follow us in the social media will notice an increase in our gear postings. Please feel free to share them with your friends and comment if you have information/feedback about a particular item, as we like hearing your opinions/feedback.

Time flies when you are having fun, and much has happened in 2012, including Bass Musician Magazine celebrating its’ 5th birthday! Check out the very first cover interview featuring Willis… It seems like just yesterday the we sat down to work on the concept of of making a magazine that speaks to todays bass musician as well as up-and-coming players. The commitment to the musician and our chosen instrument has always been our main priority and we have been fortunate to count on the solid support of an amazing staff of writers and growing readership over the years.

As 2012 draws to an end, the growing energy surrounding Winter NAMM 2013 is beginning to build. We will be there to bring you the low-down on what is going on at the show and provide you with the most updated, relevant information and videos from this massive event as it happens via Twitter, Facebook & Instagram, and promptly in full our February issue!
