Welcome to 2013

Happy 2013 to all of our friends and readers from around the world from all of us here at Bass Musician Magazine!

First on the agenda, I must bring our cover interview to your attention with the incomparable Gospel, R&B, and Jazz bassist Andrew Gouche! I know I always think of Andrew’s signature MTD bass from the 2011 Winter NAMM show when I hear his name, but there is so much more to this great bass musician; kudos to our own Steve Gregory for bringing us this excellent interview!

Next, January is the very exciting month of NAMM and we will be there getting the low-down on the latest in bass gear and our fellow musicians! Make sure you keep an eye on the mag and BMM social media as we transmit live from sunny Anaheim, CA.

Hopefully, many of you noticed the opening of our Bass Shop. If you are in the market for some new or used gear, explore the shop as you might find exactly what you are looking for at competitive prices.  We are keeping our eyes out for really good deals and when we find them we will post them on our Facebook and Twitter pages so you can seize the opportunity. Many of these offers are only for a day, so make sure you visit our pages regularly!

We also released our Signature Bass Musician Magazine T’s last month. The designs were the product of a contest we held to come up with the best T-shirt design and the winners are now our signature T logos. We will be sporting some of these at NAMM so check out some of the video that will be forth coming. If you are a Bass Musician Magazine fan, get a T-Shirt or Hoodie of your own and wear it with pride. And please help to spread the word about your favorite bass magazine with these unique items!
