Trickfish Amplification Welcomes InnerWood as Exclusive Distributor in Japan
Trickfish is honored to welcome custom luthier and Japanese Distributor for Roscoe Guitars, KYDD, BSF and Ganko Gen strings to the Trickfish distribution family.
Based in Chofu Tokyo, InnerWood has been in business serving the Japanese market since 1985. In addition to distributing select products into Japan, InnerWood also makes some of the finest handmade basses on the market today. They feature signature models by Alex Al and Jimmy Haslip and are coveted by luminaries such as Gerald Albright and Jeff Carswell. Founder Hirotaka Kiuchi explains that “InnerWood is an English translation of my family name Kiuchi. Only the words are backward like a name of Japanese rubber tire company Bridgestone which came from their CEO’s name Ishi Bashi = Ston-Bridge.” A serious player in his own right, Hirotaka is an esteemed member of the Japanese bass community and is extremely well networked among the players.
“Jimmy Haslip introduced us to Hirotaka just recently and we immediately sent some evaluation units to InnerWood. The response has been overwhelming and we’re excited to say that our agreement is official. InnerWood brings the personal touch we value so highly here at Trickfish. Hirotaka’s network is vast and he’s so respected that we’re certain our vibe and approach is in able hands!” states Richard Ruse, Trickfish founder and President.
“Jimmy’s recommendation was so sincere and his playing so good that we had to give Trickfish a try.” says Hirotaka. “The amp and speaker response is so fast and tone so pure that Japanese bass players will love this gear. We are very excited!”
