    I have 3 six strings    I gave up the conventional holding the thumb upright    and did what felt comfortable   to play my 6 string bass I lay my thumb side ways  it’s a wide neck   trying the standard some times has to go   I love the 4 octave range    nice roscoe bass   with the bart’s yes
