Willie Weeks Bass Transcription

“Willie Weeks’ bass solo on the live version of Voices Inside (Donny Hathaway’s “Live” album 1972) is probably one of the best tools to learn/practice pentatonic/blues phrasings.

Aside from the fact that his note placement and groove are right in the pocket throughout he whole solo, Willie changes between the major and minor pentatonic scales in such a musical way that I thought it would be a great idea to share this with all of you.
