Christopher Beaudette: Bass Special Teams & Multi-Instrumentalist

Published

on

Hailing from historic New Haven Connecticut, Christopher Beaudette has been lighting up audiences with his energetic marriage of musical prowess and explosive energy, locally, regionally, and internationally for 19 years, and doesn’t plan on stopping any time soon.

Beaudette is currently holding down bass duties for Hatebreed front man Jamey Jasta’s solo projects JASTA, whom of which are just wrapping up a recent European tour in support of their most current album release “The Lost Chapters” which came out this past march.

He is also the touring bassist for the raw unadulterated heaviness that is Kingdom of Sorrow which features the legendary Kirk Windstein of crowbar on guitar. But it doesn’t stop there, Chris is also very active locally in his home state of Connecticut with bands such as Entierro, which features Ex-Fates Warning member and co-founder Vic Arduini on guitar. He is also a member of Connecticut group, Kings and Liars, with childhood friends Charlie and Nick Bellmore of Toxic Holocaust and Kingdom of Sorrow. Together, they gracefully intertwine neo-Sabbathry ideals with the crushing weight of a sledgehammer. A must listen for any hard rock enthusiast of the like. Kings and Liars recently released a brand new track titled “Recently Departed” off their newest album “Machines”*. Be prepared to expect more from these guys in the coming year.

A multi-instrumentalist, he also is lead vocalist and Hammond Organist for NightBitch, a New Haven traditional Heavy Metal band, known regionally for its powerful energy and grandiose performances. It is an impressive divergence from the world of a bass musician, but it’s clear that Beaudette’s heart lies with the low end. “From an arrangement perspective, I always prefer to put together riffs and ideas in the simplest, clearest way possible, to allow for guitars and other instruments to lay down their ideas and color the song. Bass is the foundation of the inherent melody and I really enjoy being able to provide that for a song.” They are currently working on their very first full length record that should be out sometime next spring or summer.

As you may already see, Beaudette is no slouch in the industry, and he has a pretty impressive resume’ of performing in many places throughout the globe such as Canada, Australia, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland and multiple US Tours in between. He’s also had the privilege to perform alongside the likes of Slipknot, Asking Alexandria, Metallica, Slayer, Immortal, Within Temptation, Dragonforce, Pentagram, Fear Factory, Killswitch Engage, The Devil Wears Prada, Kyng, Fozzy, Overkill and Anthrax on tours such as Heavy Montreal, the Australian “Soundwave” festival, Germany’s “Summer Breeze Open Air” Fest & The Mayhem Festival, and many other one off shows around the US.

Staying active in multiple projects and applications is Beaudette’s apparent mantra (and a bold understatement at that ha!) and it appears he’s only getting started. With a low end presence that will shake you to the core and performances that command your attention, Chris Beaudette is definitely a player to keep your eye on.
