Interview with Bassist Jay A. Turner
Jay A. Turner is one of the most versatile bass players I have heard in a while.
I spent the week before our interview listening to his albums; I was so impressed by the variety of musical paths he has taken that I had to check and make sure I was listening to the same guy a few times. Even though he has been super-busy playing bass for countless bands, Jay’s personal sound has been evolving and he has shown that he is not afraid to push the envelope both in composition and performance.
